About the Role
Build robust, scalable backend systems supporting AICA's comprehensive healthcare workflow automation. You'll develop regulatory compliance engines, form automation logic, and secure APIs serving thousands of healthcare professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Engine Development: Build sophisticated automation systems for healthcare compliance and regulatory workflows.
- API Architecture Enhancement: Design and optimize enterprise API framework for multi-jurisdictional deployment and scalability.
- Database Management: Architect complex PostgreSQL schemas with advanced security and multi-tenant isolation.
- Integration Logic: Develop secure connectors for healthcare systems, databases, lab feeds, and imaging platforms.
- Security Implementation: Ensure comprehensive compliance with healthcare data regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar enterprise-grade technologies.
- Strong PostgreSQL and database design skills with experience in complex schema management.
- Proven experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and enterprise security implementations.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare data security, compliance frameworks, and audit logging requirements.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare IT integration experience with EMR systems, lab interfaces, or clinical data exchange.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, or DICOM.
- Experience with government regulatory systems and compliance automation.
- French language skills for Quebec healthcare requirements and regulatory documentation.
